Marathon Relay

Left to Right: Amy, Jackie, Me, Melissa, Mom
Last Saturday my sisters, my mom, my friend Amy & I were able to run the Utah Marathon Relay. We each ran 5.2 miles; a running total of 26.2 miles. I had a blast training for this & actually running it. I got my best time; I averaged a 10 minute mile, not bad for just having a baby. I also won an iPOD nano... I never win anything, so I was pretty excited! This relay worked really well into my training for my first half marathon. I'm running the Halloween Half down Provo Canyon in October. I have hated running, but also loved it. It's helped me feel good about myself & lose a lot of my baby weight. I just hate waking up at 5:30 am!
I want to give a huge shout out to Jeff who's been sooo supportive of me doing something for me. He's been the best! On the day of the race he took all 4 kids out by himself for the first time.
He's the best dad & the best husband. He's getting quite good at multi-tasking; he can hold Kyler, cuddle with Lexi & sword fight Ethan all at the same time. I couldn't ask for a better husband or father for my kids. Thanks babe, Love you!

Wow, way to go! Are you going to dress up for the Halloween Half? I've heard that people do. I just don't know that my knees could handle a half marathon. I'm doing a 10k on the 9th of October, and so far, that has been brutal enough. ;)

That was so fun! Thanks for the good times. I am still totally jealous of your Ipod!!!! Ha, that is so cool. It seems like no one ever really wins those things, right? See you monday at 5:30!!!

WOW that is so awesome! Way to go on winning the IPOD! I have wanted to start running but have to get my knees fixed first. I can't wait to hear how your half marathon goes! I am super impressed by your hubby, I have a hard enough time taking 2 kids out so way to go Jeff!
