In Loving Memory of Duane Moyes

Today is Memorial Day, the day we remember those who have passed on. So this is for Duane. Not many people know, but Duane was like a second father to me. We hung out together, he gave me advice. He was always so sweet & caring. It struck me hard when I found out he had cancer. I remember on his death bed, he wasn't speaking to anyone; but when I walked up to him and grabbed his hand- he didn't even open his eyes- he just said I love you Aubrey. He knew me so well & was always willing to be there for me. I miss him so much! But even now I know he is with me. I have felt of his presence and know that he is doing God's work, but every once in a while he gets to spend some time with me. I know he was with me in Spirit when I received my endowments & he was there when me & Jeff were sealed in the temple. What a special experience it is to feel of his love! I love you Duane!

Girls are fun!

So I gave Lexi my mascara today to keep her busy while I got ready. Somehow she opened it and tried to put it on herself. She did a pretty good job for a first timer! She is a very high maintence girl! She loves shoes! If you're not wearing them she will! She loves her pretty's! Necklaces, bracelets, nail polish, make up. My mom gave her some necklaces and bracelets for her birthday, she hasn't taken them off since. But she can't wear just one, she has to wear them all! Please pray that I'll have a boy next, or a low maintence girl. I think two high maintence girls will push me over the edge.

Lexi's 1st Birthday

Lexi had a fun birthday. She loved opening presents! She loved the noisy toys. She hated her cake. She wouldn't touch it. She kinda dug into it when we gave her a fork & a spoon. She got her feet in her cake when she tried to stand up and run away from it, she hated that! The BBQ was REALLY windy! Our food kept blowing away. But the kids had fun playing at the park. Good times.

Ethan's Birthday!

Ethan's favorite birthday present!
We spent the day at the zoo. We got to see the baby giraffe. So cute!
Lexi inside the turtle shell
Ethan sitting on the spider. We even took a train ride. They seemed to enjoy it!Thanks to everyone who helped make his day special!

Happy Birthday Lexi!

Happy Birthday to my little one year old Lexi! I can't believe how fast the year has gone! We're having a little BBQ for family & friends tonight. Not much, but we want to celebrate our cute little girl. Here's a little about her:
*she got her first tooth at 4 months
*she started crawling around 6 1/2 months
*two weeks later she started walking
*she's very emotional & cries over everything
*she's got her daddy wrapped around her little finger
*she's also got Ethan wrapped around her finger!
*she has all her teeth but her 4 "i" teeth (the pointy ones)
*she's got a smile that just melts your heart!
*she says a few words, but usually Ethan does the talking
*she watches every move you make & copies exactly what you do
*she loves to help me clean (I love it too!)
We love Lexi! Happy Birthday pretty girl!

Happy Birthday Ethan!!

My cute little Ethan turned 3 today! He's getting so big! I don't have time to post pics. I'll do that another day. But I wanted to mention a few things about him & why he's so special:
  *He's always thinking of others
*He loves his little sister & tries to be the "mom"
*He loves Jesus, he loves to pray & he loves nursery
*He will always give me a hug & a kiss whenever I'm in need
*He's such a good listener! He has his moments, but he will usually do what he's told.
*He's such a big helper, getting diapers & wipes & setting the table
*He's so happy! He's always there to give me a smile
*He's got a laugh you can't forget! It's very high pitched & so adorable!
*He loves to play soccer, basketball, baseball, tennis, football; he loves four wheeling and reading books
We love Ethan! Happy Birthday big guy!

Easy Meals

I don't know how many of you know about Kraft Food and Family Magazine. But it's free and has tons of meal ideas! I have acquired about 15 of their magazines and have loved everything I've tried! There's great ideas for kids snacks & how to get the kids involved. The best thing is everything in their magazine is pretty easy. Just go to www.kraftfoods.com and sign up for the magazine, you get one for every season & usually a holiday one. They even e-mail you recipes that aren't in the magazine.

First camping trip of the season!!

Ethan struggling to stay warm while we hiked the rocks.
He's wearing Jeff's sweatshirt. Very cute!
You can't tell but they're on top of the arch in the San Raphel
Lexi is so fashionable in Ethan's sunglasses. She loved to get dirty!
Me and Lexi hiking. Quite the challenge cause she wanted to do it herself. But so much fun! Every time I put her on my four wheeler she fell right to sleep. The four wheeler was quite the life saver! Needless to say she took more naps than she would in a normal day.
That's the arch behind us that Jeff & Ethan were standing on. It was a very cold, windy trip. But we all had fun!
